Dara Cooper,
|
Dara's childhood began in Manhattan – shopping, museum hopping and playing on the tennis courts. After watching Fiddler on the Roof way too many times, she realized that Tradition must be more than just a song. At age fifteen, she began exploring her Jewish heritage to learn more about herself and her nation.
Now, married with a family and living in a Jewish community, Dara enjoys having open discussions about Judaism, cooking gluten-free and reading any book that comes her way. She has a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland and specializes in helping people with eating disorders and other family-therapy related issues. Dara's journey has led her to create Project enLIGHTen, where young Jewish women escape from the busyness of life to reconnect to their Jewish roots and discover its timeless messages. |
